Mei Finegold
Mei Finegold (Hebrew: מיי פיינגולד, born as Meital Slonimsky) is a singer born 16 December,1982 in Rishon LeZion, Israel. Her musical career started in school ceremonies, and she continued by taking singing lessons with majority of classic opera. Since her childhood, Finegold used to throw lots of shows, including night clubs and bars. Since then, Finegold leads a band called Disiac.
In 2009 Mei competed in Kokhav Nolad 7, the Israeli version of Pop Idol. She finished third.
In January 2014 it was revealed that Finegold had been internally selected by the Israeli broadcaster, IBA, to represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was announced on March 5th, that she would sing Same Heart for Israel. In the semifinal, Mei was not voted to the final. Read more on Last.fm.
