Michel Sanchez
Michel Sanchez was born on 1st July 1957 in Somain, northern France. He was studing music at the academy (piano, classical organ, percussion). In the early 90s he mixed his synths an old tradicional song from Salomon Islands and this has been the starting point of Deep Forest. Their sound has been described as an “ethno-introspective ambient world music”. The first, eponymous Deep Forest's record, released in 1992, focused on african cultures and has been an almost immediate success. "Boheme", the second album, was inspired by the Eastern Europe positioning Deep Forest in the french and international music scene.
Apart from Deep Forest works, he made some solo records: Windows (1994) and Hieroglyphes (2000). In 2005 Michel Sanchez started works with new stuff - he try to put his voice on songs he composed through the years. He works with lyrics writers like Boris Bergman or Susie Hug.
