Moodak
Amsterdam based triphop outfit Moodak is one of the few bands that make abundant use of synths and samples, but still manage to keep the fire burning on stage.
Moodak’s first single Supersound (2004) received quite some airplay on local shows such as Radio Mortale as well on the national radiostation 3fm. Two years later they released the EP Step Into This Life, recorded in cooperation with engineering and production wizards Mystic Machine from Nijmegen.
The summer hit Too Big For My Boots was the highlight of 2007.
Engineers/producers Erik van der Horst and Lars J. Brouwer (Utrecht School of the Arts) helped Moodak in 2008 to take a new step in the development of their sound. This resulted in the EP Throwing The Plates.
Through the years Moodak built themselves a steady live reputation from Zaandam to Enschede, owing to musical craftmanship and an intriguing lead singer. Mixing trip hop, drum & bass, rock, pop, jazz whatever groove they can lay their hands on, the band brings a sound that can only be called… Moodak.
Moodak was formed in 2003. Check www.myspace.com/moodak for more music, pics and updates. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
