Muzak
There are (at least!) 3 bands called Muzak: one from Spain, one from Italy and the other from Brazil:
Muzak (Spain)
Formed in Barcelona Muzak play a new sound which feeds off 70's rock in its most daring varieties (psychedelia, krautrock…) from slow & post-core, free jazz, improvisation, folk, but however they don’t follow a concrete tendency.
In 2003, they released their first album "Static Dynamo" recorded in Audiomayer studio by Jens Neumaier (12Twelve - Barcelona) and Alejandro Mazzoni.
In April 2005, they returned to Audiomayer studio to record (live) what has meant their first LP, produced by Jens Neumaier, Mike Alemany and Muzak. In "Escenes en cercle" (Very Solid Groove records.01) Muzak take the free way of music. The psychedelic and experimental side acquire more importance, but always starting from a solid rock sound.
Xavier Tort -trumpet- (La Orquestra de la muerte and The Linn Youki Project) and Elena & Laura -sonic disasters- collaborated on the recording.
They haven’t stopped playing live, with bands like: 12Twelve, Françoiz Breut, The Linn Youki Project, Za, Miztura, Pupille, (lo:mueso), Liquid Machine, Farö Dokument, Songstore, Maple.
In september 2006 Fernando left the band. Since then their future is uncertain.
Muzak were:
Pau -drums and percussions-
Abel -bass-
Fernando -guitar and effects-
Roberto -guitar, effects and synthesizer-
