Mysterious Art
Mysterious Art was founded in 1988 by producer and DJ Mike Staab and musicians from the Rhine-Main area. Their debut single Das Omen - Teil 1 reached number one of the German single charts and with more than 400,000 copies was the most successful single in 1989. The band appeared as a supporting band during Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour. Their second single Carma - Omen 2 reached number 9 of the German charts and remained there for three weeks. It was followed up by the album Omen - The Story. In 1991, the band published their second and last album, Mystic Mountains.
Band:
Tillmann Uhrmacher - became a famous DJ (RPR Maximal) and published a great number of remixes and original tracks. He used to hold the record for the longest non-stop radio hosting (80 hours in 1994).
Michael Krautter - moved to Canada and works as a producer for music and films.
Nicole Kolb (née Boeúf) published an unsuccessful single under the name of "Viva" and is singing in a band called "Chicahlgo".
Stephanie Trautmann - returned to classical music and lives in the Taunus.
Mike Staab - after 1994 published production with different musicians under the name Magic Affair and achieved success in Europe and beyond. The name of the first single Omen III und the name of the band, which on the first cover only appeared als M.A., referred to Mysterious Art and their Omen-singles. Read more on Last.fm.
