Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California where Pep was a member of the legendary "spook-a-billy" outfit Ghoul Brynner attracting such loyal fans as members of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and Dishwalla. Pep Torres started singing in the early 1980's when he was 15 and by the age of 17 eas strumming rockabilly guitar along with his records. As a vocalist, Pep has met the nodding approval over the years of his peers such as Jackie Lee Cochran, Ray Campi, Art Fein, Ronnie Mack, Casey Casem, lee Rocker, Tony Conn, Big Al Downing, and Larry Donn. Pep has recorded for television and often performs at tributes including the annual Elvis Birthday Bash at The House of Blues.
In the new millennium, Mr. Torres has decided to take his music a step further by acknowledging his ethnic roots. Don't be surprised to hear some rockabilly en espanol including savage originals such as "Dimelo!" and the classics never sounded so good in another language! Recently, pep has performed with Chan Romero (Hippy-Hippy Shake) and Lalo Guerrero. In addition, he is a current member of Ray Campi's Rockabilly Rebels (rhythm guitar, vocals).
