PoPoyans
PoPoyans (ポポヤンズ) are a Tokyo-based female acoustic folk duo with a charming sound, formed by film school friends non and cheru in 2006 to create music to use in their film projects. They released two albums on their own before teaming with Soichiro Suzuki (of World Standard fame) to produce their first major album, 祝日 (Shukujitsu, "Holiday") in 2008. They began to perform live shows shortly afterward, and several of their songs have since been featured in TV commercials in Japan. Their second major album, ZOO, was released in May 2012. In addition to music, non and cheru dabble in videography, acting, cloth dyeing, and various other artistic pursuits. Read more on Last.fm.
