Pokémon Reorchestrated
Pokémon Reorchestrated, or PREO for short, is a project started by Braxton "Skotein" Burks in 2010. PREO is dedicated to producing fully orchestrated scores of the music from the Pokémon series, starting with the first generation games as part of their debut album, Kanto Symphony. PREO generally uses virtual instruments, but has recently begun using live instruments, most notably in Double Team!, which was recorded entirely with live instruments.
PREO was inspired by a similar project, Zelda Reorchestrated (ZREO). PREO is a non-profit project but welcomes donations, which will go towards the purchase of new software and equipment to produce songs. Finally, PREO currently has two members of staff, Braxton "Skotein" Burks and Richard "Seiiki" LaBrooy. In Double Team, Braxton collaborated with Zelda Reorchestrated's Eric Buchholtz. Double Team! was PREO's first live album and Eric's conducting debut.
Pokémon Reorchestrated's earlier music can be downloaded from their website for free, www.pokemonsymphony.com Their newer music, such as Kanto Symphony and Double Team, can be purchased from Loudr and iTunes.
