Pomomofo
Pomomofo describe themselves as "electropop wolves raised by the Chicago Bulls, by Big Audio Dynamite, by Rollerblades, by free downloads". They are also a band from Sydney, Australia.
Their music has been dubbed electrotrash, kitsch dance-pop and computer rock among a host of other genre grappling terms. Whatever their style, Pomomofo infuse their songs with a sense of fun with their tongues planted firmly in cheek, calling themselves
They have played the Homebake Festival, the Good Vibrations Festival, and with acts like Cassius, Midnight Juggernauts, the Presets, Cut Copy, Sneaky Sound System, Cornelius, The Faint and Hadouken.
They have a new EP called "In Super VGA" which is out next month, and then they're writing an album. They've been remixed by Boy 8 Bit, the Toxic Avenger, Groove Terminator and Quincey "Bombs" Beaufort.
They did a screamotech cover of Laid Back's "White Horse" for a Spanish blog and it got downloaded 200 000 times by Spanish people. Their favourite 1980s New York restaurant is Dorsia. Their favourite artist is Ken Done.
