Roberto Fabbriciani
Roberto Fabbriciani (b. 1949) is a flutist and composer, born in Arezzo, Italy.
Fabbriciani has played for the most important Festivals (“Biennale” of Venice, “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” of Florence, Spoleto, Paris, Bruxelles, Berlin, Donaueschingen, Edinburgh, London, Warsaw, Lisbon, Luzern, Holland, Salzburg, Wien, Lockenhaus, “Music Today” of Tokyo) and with prestigious orchestras, such as the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Accademia of Santa Cecilia in Rome, RAI Orchestras, ECYO, London Sinfonietta, SWF Baden - Baden, RTL Luxenbourg, BRTN Brussel, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Bayerischer Rundfunks, Münchener Philharmoniker, and others.
He is a passionate interpreter of the New Music and collaborates with composers such as Luciano Berio, Sylvio Bussotti, John Cage, Elliott Carter, Arturo Clementi, Luis De Pablo, Franco Donatoni, Brian Ferneyhough, Toshio Hosokawa, Ernst Krenek, György Kurtág, Ennico Morricone, Luigi Nono, Goffredo Petrassi, Henri Pousseur, Wolfgang Rihm, Salvatore Sciarrino, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Toru Takemitsu and Isang Yun, who have dedicated to him some works that are among the most significant of the modern flute literature.
He bas also worked with Conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Composer/Conductor Luciano Berio, E. Bour, Riccardo Chailly, S. Comissiona, Peter Eötvös, V. Fedoseyev, C. Halffter, M. Inoue, D.
