Sakanoue Yousuke (坂上庸介)is a Japanese singer-songwriter. He was born on March 16, 1981, in Kobe. He debuted under the name サカノウエヨースケ (his name written in katakana), in 2000, at the age of 19, and was produced by 浅倉大介 (Asakura Daisuke). His first single was Super Drive, which was the opening theme for the Shounen-Ai anime GRAVITATION. It is the song for which he is best known. On November 19th, 2002, he released his debut album TOY.
In 2003, he chose to return to performing under his proper name, written in kanji, and released his second album Call. The album was a rock album, and quite removed from the frenetic techno of the Daisuke-produced TOY.
In 2005, Sakanoue formed a six-man band called SPIRAL SPIDERS. He is the band's vocalist and guitarist, and composes the band's music and lyrics. The band's repertoire is principally material from Sakanoue's prior solo albums. Sakanoue now goes by the name of YOSK (庸介). Read more on Last.fm.
