Sensuous Enemy
Sensuous Enemy is a female fronted darkwave electronic band that blends driving drum sequences, hard techno and EBM synth lines, combines powerful velvety vocals with the use of orchestral strings, piano, and vocal harmonies, and adds live electric rhythm guitar, bass and drums in order to create a regally sublime audio/visual experience. SE is led by the beautiful, vibrant and powerful frontwoman JAI along with programmer/guitarist John Freriks, Vdrummer/programmer Chris Wenzel, and newest member Ali Phillips on keyboards/synths.
SE recently released a new 3P titled "Parity" recorded, mixed and produced by Dan Clark of The Dark Clan and mastered by Eric Oehler of Null Device. They signed to the label Radio Active Music and will be touring the East Coast/Midwest in August 2011.
They completed their first full length CD "Fragments" in 2008 recorded, mixed and produced by Wade Alin of The Atomica Project and Christ Analogue in Chicago, IL and went on to win "Best Electronic Album of the Year" and "Best Electronic Song of the Year" with "Over" at the 2008 MAMA's.
Their original seven song E.P. "Deadly Sins" was released in 2006 and won "Best Electronic Album of the Year" as well as "Best Electronic Artist of the Year" at the 2007 MAMA's.
SE has played great shows with infamous groups like I:Scintilla, Cruciform Injection, Iris, The Gothsicles, Imperative Reaction, Combichrist, Ctrlshft, Endif, Caustic, Bella Morte, Razed in Black, The Azoic, Rotersand, Covenant, Assemblage 23, Null Device, Android Lust, Stromkern, C/A/T, Stochastic Theory, Terrorfakt and many others!
They have also played in numerous Electronic Music Festivals like Madison's Reverence 2005 - 2009, Madison Electronic Music Festival,Sound n Fury I and II in Wisconsin, WTII Showcases in Chicago, Elektrofest in Cleveland, OH and many more.
