Sharon Ben-Shem
Singer/Songwriter Sharon Ben-Shem was born in Israel in 1975. She started playing the piano at the age of 3 and wrote her first song at the age of 8. She has been writing and composing both songs and piano pieces ever since.
In 1999 Sharon moved to the USA to study music. She got her Bachelor in Music from Oklahoma City University and later moved to Deklab, Illinois where she later received her Master in Music from Northern Illinois University.
While a student at NIU, Sharon was the featured vocalist of the world renown NIU Jazz Ensemble with which she has performed with such Jazz greats as Frank Wess and David Brecker.
In 2004 Sharon recorded the all original CD 'The Song In Me' and later returned to Israel where she now resides.
