Shelleyan Orphan are Caroline Crawley and Jem Tayle. An enterprising and innovative band who were better known in the late 80s and early 90s. Their first album, Helleborine, appeared in 1987. During that tour relationships were forged with Porl Thompson (Cure lead guitarist at the time) and Boris Williams (Cure drummer at the time) who would play on many tracks of their 3rd album, Humroot.
