Sherie René Scott is a Broadway actress with great range of both vocal and acting skills. In addition to performing, Ms. Scott has written for the stage, including the book of the original musical, Everyday Rapture, in which she performed. On Broadway, she has starred in The Little Mermaid as Ursula and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels as Christine Colgate. Her Broadway credits also include Rent (Maureen), Aida (Amneris, OBC), Grease (Marty), and The Who's Tommy (Sally Simpson). Her Off Broadway credits include Faust (Martha), Debbie Does Dallas (Debbie), and Jason Robert Brown's incredible two person show, The Last Five Years (Cathy), which she did with the fabulous Norbert Leo Butz, a good friend with whom she has also done Rent and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Sherie was nominated in 2005 for a Tony and a Drama Desk for Best Actress for originating the role of Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. She received a deserved Drama Desk nomination for Cathy in the Last Five Years in 2002, and in 2006 received a Drama Desk Special Award for dedication to the preservation of musical theater through cast recordings, which she produces through her company, Sh-K-Boom Records.
