Sleepthief
Sleepthief is an electronic/vocal musical recording project of producer/composer Justin Elswick. Sleepthief has featured the vocal talents of some of the best singers in the electronic/ambient/pop/ethereal & world genres including: Kirsty Hawkshaw, Kristy Thirsk, Zoe Johnston, Joanna Stevens, Caroline Lavelle, Jody Quine, Nicola Hitchcock, Kyoko Baertsoen, Suzanne Perry, Coury Palermo, Harland, Roberta-Carter Harrison, Jerri Eckert, Lauren Edman, san.drine, and Mirabilis.
Prior to the debut album "The Dawnseeker" in 2006, Elswick had been writing music for more than a decade. Elswick, who graduated from Brigham Young with a degree in history, is now a practicing attorney. His interest in music started at an early age and continued into high school, where he was a DJ. His interest in new age music developed as soon as he first heard Enya's "Watermark." The Celtic influences in Elswick's music were further developed during a stay in Ireland to obtain a philosophy degree from Trinity College.
Sleepthief's music shares commonalities with artists such as Balligomingo and Delerium - organic/synthesized new age music combined with ethnic influences and female singers. Read more on Last.fm.
