Soraya Arnelas
Soraya Arnelas Rubiales (born September 13, 1982 in Cáceres, Extremadura) is a Spanish singer. She is better known by her stage name Soraya, who represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia with "La Noche Es Para Mí" (Night Belongs to me, literally, Night is made for me or Night is for me) finishing 23rd with 23 points.
Her first album, Corazon De Fuego ("Heart of Fire"), was published in 2005. She also did an album with 80's covers, called Ochenta's (Eighties), and that was published in 2006. Her third album was published in 2008, Sin Miedo, which contains La Noche es Para Mí. Her current album is Dreamer, which was released in 2010.
Soraya got the 2nd place in the reality show Operación Triunfo 2005 (Spanish Idol), edit by Telecinco.
Soraya studied at Nuestra Señora de los Remedios school and at Lostau Valverde High School. In Madrid, she learned English, French and Portuguese.
