Starmania
Starmania is a not an artist, but french/québécois musical, created in 1978 by Michel Berger (music) and Luc Plamondon (lyrics). It takes places in tells the story of Johnny Rockfort, a young suburban voyou who is the chief of the "black stars".
The original version is composed with Daniel Balavoine, Claude Dubois, Diane Dufresne, Nanette Workman, France Gall, Eric Esteve and Fabienne Thibeault.
It is a classical album for french music.
In 1992, an English version of the show was created with the release of the album Tycoon, with lyrics by Tim Rice, and starring Céline Dion, Nina Hagen, Cyndi Lauper, Willy Deville, and Tom Jones in the principal roles on the recording.
