Stee Downes
Stee Downes has been deeply involved with all area's of the music industry since 1997. He began playing bass with a live dance music outfit called "Nu root rhythm", recorded " The Big Smoke EP", and toured Germany. Stee studied communications and media production until 2001. When completing his studies he moved to Amsterdam where he worked with various producers and musicians including Ishfaq (previously released on inphusion records). Subsequently he collaborated with Foundation records (London), for " The Catalyst project" which was highly aclaimed and recieved raving reviews in the straight no chaser magazine. In 2004 he returned to Dublin to work with Eddy Eustace on his track " Disciples " which was with Vinylvibes (Germany). Once again his fruits were given excellent reviews from the likes of Rainer Truby (Compost Records), Michael Ruetten (Mr soulpatrol) and Dom Servini (Straight no chaser/wah wah45's). At present Stee is Label Manager at Scribble Records. He is working on his live show for 2008 and recording new material for his album due for mid next year.
