Stereotapes
Stereotapes is an ambitious band from Berlin coming to rock the capital!
the debut album 'This Machine Kills Britpop', released in April 2009, can be downloaded for free on www.stereotapes.com containing 12 mind-blowing tracks, from rockers like "Let's Rock'n'Go" over the overwhelming walls of sound of "Get Up When You're Down" to the folky realms of "Right Here, Right Now", that declare war on britpop without denying their roots. Britrock Re-Invented!
everything started back in the summer of 2004 as 'Evening Glory'. After a few changes the current quartet formed in autumn 2008 and changed its name.
stereotapes' music comprises of various influences; from Britrock to Rock'n'Roll through to Garage-Rock and even Reggae and Jazz...
the band consists of mastermind Martin, vocals, guitar and organ, Sebastian, yet shoegazer, soon to be the charismatic-solo-wank-gets-the-crowd-wild guy on lead guitar, the one and only wonderful Elena on bass and Benne, flexible backbone of the band on Drums.
the band has an outstanding musical style and a unique look not only because of their woman on bass but also because they draw their inspiration from the basics of good old-fashioned rock'n'roll.
each member of the band had previously gained live recording experiences and together they are ready to make their distinctive tribute to rock'n'roll history!
this autumn stereotapes will tackle their first Germany tour including some festival gigs this summer. So watch out - stereotapes, live & in color on a stage near to you! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
