Sweatshop
A DJ and a rookie producer, who both had a long experience at the turntables within the Belgian electro scene, formed Sweatshop in 2001 for the fun of mixing together. This cosmopolitan duo then moved on to producing tracks and five years later became a trio. In 2003 their first 12 I like it dirty is signed on Eskimo Records. 2004 is the first live show at Club Dirty Dancing (Brussels, Belgium). In 2005 the track Back in the days (remixed by Kiki) marks the beginning of the alliance with Dirty Dancing Recordings. A 12 is signed on the label and they become residents at the club. The same year they remixed Marcus Langes « Strange Smile » appearing with Kaos (ex Terranova) on the vynil. In 2006, DJ Cosy Mozzy asked them to take part in the mixed compilation Histoires Damours to put forward the labels productions. One of their latest productions Wake up is on the vinyl sampler and will come out soon as a 12 with a remix from Undo (head of Spanish label Factorcity). Later in March, they are invited by Undo & the Loft crew for an exclusive live performance at the Razzmatazz in Barcelona. The band is now composed of a keyboards player (Frederic Donche), a DJ (Balthazar Pinto) and a producer (Bryan Raffault). The success of this combo is that every artist contributes his know how but also his musical influences in the studio and on stage. Following a first appearance at the Dour and Ten days off festivals last summer, they are back with a brand new live format and new projects in the near future! The next release will be a RMX of Margots Autunno on German label Great Stuff Records
