Tamta
Tamta Goduadze (Greek: Τάμτα Γκοντουάτζε, Georgian: თამთა გოდუაძე), professionally known as Tamta, is a Greek pop singer who rose to fame in Greece and Cyprus after her participation in the talent show 'Super Idol' (the Greek version of 'Pop Idol') in which she placed second behind Σταύρος Κωνσταντίνου.
Tamta was born and raised in Georgia, where she started singing at the age of five. She has a daughter, Annie, whom she gave birth to at the age of 14. At the age of 22, she and her family moved to Athens, Greece.
In 2004, she took part in 'Super Idol'. Her outstanding vocal abilities along with her surprisingly rapid familiarization with the greek language (she could speak fluently in months) won the judges' and the audience's attention and as a result she made it to the finals and placed 2nd. Her first single was a duet with fellow contestant Σταύρος Κωνσταντίνου called Είσαι τ' άλλο μου μισό.
In 2006 she released her first studio album called Tamta, which spawned the hits "Φταις (Faraway)", "Δεν τελειώνει έτσι η αγάπη" and "Tornero/Τρομερό", a duet with Romanian pop star Mihai Trăistariu.
A year later she released her sophomore album Αγάπησέ με which spawned 4 hit singles: the ESC candidate song "With Love", the eponymous "Αγάπησέ με", "Μια στιγμή εσύ κι εγώ" and "Έλα στο ρυθμό".
Her third studio album is due for release in March 2009, with the first single being "Κοίτα με", a composition by the greek DJ Etostone, originally released a couple of years earlier.
