The Anacondas
The Anacondas are about to release their new album "Bad Buzz" very soon! They're laying their last hand on the artwork, and release is set end of May 2010. This will be their 3rd official release, and will be a blast!!! With help from Ing. Vandermeulen (Amsterdam Beat Club, West Hell 5), Milan Mes (Project Wildeman, The Benelux) and Steve Korver, this is probably their most complete, diverse and exciting album so far.
The Anacondas, from Amsterdam, started out around the summer of 2000. Band members were Messerschmitt Marzl (drums), Jack Stuka (bass, rythm guitar), Johnny Torpedo (guitar) and Pete Python (flute, synthesizer).
After careers in several Dutch bands like Bluesix & CKN & The Killers, The Anacondas formed and decided to play, spaced out, reverb drenched and heavily surf influenced rock 'n' roll. Since then The Anacondas did lots of shows in Holland, Germany Czech Republic and they toured U.S.A in 2003 with Nashvilles Daikaiju.
The Anacondas recorded two albums on Sonic Rendezvous and appeared on severall international surf samplers. All that fun ended in 2005 with the sudden death of drummer Messerschmitt Marzl. After Pete Python, Jack Stuka and Johnny Torpedo crawled up from this knock-out, they decided to continue with The Anacondas. They found a new drummer in the young and talented Woody Sticks, former drummer for split up Dutch punkrockers Travoltas.
The Anacondas still do a lot of touring through Germany, Holland, Austria and Czech Republic. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
