The Blackrats
Transcending the sounds of traditional rockabilly and psychobilly the Blackrats formed in 2009, rocking their way up the ranks of the thriving music scene in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After the release of their debut album "Horrorbilly for Hire" in 2011, the band quickly gained a cult fan base in both Canada and the USA, being heard from coast to coast on Rue Morgue Radio, Psycho Radio and Zorch Radio in Seattle.
Consisting of the rocking rhythm and vocals of Brad Blackrat, the slap and rumble of Pete Green on the upright bass, the screaming shredding lead guitar of Troy Wilson, the sexy smooth saxophone of Adam Nelson and the pulse pounding drums of Ian Kean. The Blackrats will shake you right down to your bones with their spooky brand of Rock & Roll.
the Blackrats have had the pleasure of working with successful bands in the Canadian rockabilly scene such as “the Brains”, “Big John Bates and the Voodoo Dolls”, “the Creepshow”, and “KC and the Moonshine Band”.
