Thomalla
While his upbringing gave Philipp Koller a good grounding in classical music, the neoclassical surroundings of Berlin have had an equal aesthetic influence on the architecture of his compositions. His band Ter Haar has certainly found a happy home in the thriving live music scene in Berlin, while he’s made great strides exploring the intersection of man and machine via his Thomalla moniker.
It’s been a lightning journey from Philipp’s first set as Thomalla on New Year’s Eve 2010 to seeing his tracks take physical shape via legendary pressing plant, Dubplates and Mastering. And this trajectory doesn’t look to slow down any time soon, especially after attending the Red Bull Music Academy 2011 in Madrid.
