Todd Bodine
Todd Bodine was born in 1976 and grew up in Berlin. In 1997 he started out as a resident DJ at Tresor club, where he played his energetic Detroit-sets over the next few years.
In 1999 he released his first record together with Daniel Paul and DJ Zky on Season records.
In the same year he also renovated his own studio, where he produced his own first solo-house-project, which was released on Cabinet records ā namely Travel EP. Between 2000 and 2001 he was involved in some co-productions with Cabinet Records and Mermaid Records.
Over the years Todd Bodine developed his music taste and style in producing and mixing music. Bored with the evolution of Techno he now saw his musical future in Techhouse ā the affiliation of soul and minimalistic elements.
In 2002 he relocated into Berlins label Rampe Dās studio. It was at this point in time that other label heads became aware of his talents, and therefore he became the chance to collaborate with various labels, such as, Highgrade Records, Morris Audio, Tongut und Tresor Records.
Todd Bodine understood music as a catalyst to spontaneous and instinctive feelings/sounds. He tried to understand music as a whole, on his way experimenting with combining different styles and harmonising them. Read more on Last.fm.
