Transtic Nerve
TRANSTIC NERVE was founded in 1995 in the town of Himeji, with the starting lineup of Taka on vocals, Masato and Tao on guitars, Ryo on bass and Masaki on drums. Their first album, Transonic Vision", was released in August of 1997, and the band also took part in The End of The Century Rock IV omnibus around this time as well.
Soon the band caught hide's (X JAPAN) attention and he quickly insisted that they be signed to his LEMONed label.
Transtic Nerve became major on March 17th, 1999 with the release of their "Shindou" single and their first full major album was released that July. The band was given the opportunity to work with super arranger Hajime Okano who had previously worked with the bands La'cryma Christi and L'Arc~en~Ciel.
To commemorate hide's untimely death, Transtic Nerve covered his song "Ever Free" for the tribute album "hide Tribute Spirits", which was released in May of 1999. Another single was released later in the year.
In mid-2000, Transtic Nerve released two new singles, "INTO YOURSELF and "Binetsu", both of which were followed by long tours that took up the majority of the year. In the following March, their second major album, "RECALL", was released. The band had kept the same lineup as well as the same sound which was, and still is, quite a rare instance. After the tour for "RECALL" was completed, Transtic Nerve released another single and launched a long tour in the fall.
Starting in 2002, the band started to pull back on releases. A single was released in mid-2002 and the band participated in more LEMONed events for that year. 2003 was even less eventful as only one single was released. Transtic Nerve picked up speed and released one album and two mini albums, both of which were best of compilations, in 2004.
In August of 2005, Transtic Nerve released their last album, "Hole in the Wall", before disbanding in 2007. All of the members of Transtic Nerve went on to form The Underneath that same year.
