Trashcan Darlings
The Glamour Punk pioneers, Trashcan Darlings was formed by Strange? Gentle and Chris Damien Doll in 1995 and broke up in December 2008. Their records recieved good responses from both the media and their decicated crowd of die-hard fans.
Their earlier recordings which includes the singles "I Just Wanna Die", "Johnny Is A Drag-Queen" & "Holiday In My Head" are all extremely difficult to find nowadays.
Trashcan Darlings first full-length album was released in 2002 and called "Episode 1 - The Lipstick Menace". The first copies of the album also included the single "The Rights Of The Living Dead".
In 2004 they released their EP "Tunes From The Trashcan" and fullfilled their fourth hugely successful tour of Europe. The "Cleaning Out The Cuntinent" tour, which was sponsored by aftershave pioneers Old Spice.
In 2005 the first official DVD "10 Years Of Trash" was released. Included are nineteen tracks spanning the bands entire career so far with extensive interviews with all of the band and ex-members. One of the first Norwegian music DVDs to cut interview pieces between the songs, the DVD has gained rave reviews!
In 2006 they released the album "Getting Away With Murder". This was the first album with a new rhytm section, and included songs such as "Me Punk You Fuck" and "From Purity To Pain".
A compilation album albums, several tours and gigs followed until the band decided to call it a day in 2008.
You never knew what to expect at a Trashcan Darlings gig, except that it was gonna be intense, crude, loud and fun in the way rock concerts should be... and always would be while the Trashcan Darlings were around to show you how it could be done.
After Trashcan Darlings Strange? Gentle formed Hard Luck Street, Chris Damien Doll formed The Suicide Bombers, and he and Andy Hunter also plays with Ronny Pøbel. Frankie Nachtnebel plays with Anton Ruud i Terapi.
