Vernon
1. Vernon (버논), born Hansol Vernon-Chwe (최한솔) on February 18, 1998 in New York City, is a South Korean idol, rapper and dancer. He is best known for being a member of Pledis Entertainment's boy group SEVENTEEN, as well as his appearance on the fourth season of South Korean television rap competition, Show Me The Money.
Prior to his debut he was a child model, appearing in various magazines and television shows. Vernon got casted by Pledis Entertainment after he went on the audition program by the JTBC channel entitled Made in U in 2012. A week before his official debut as Seventeen's member, he went to audition for Show Me The Money 4, getting eliminated in the 3rd round. However, this helped the group gain some recognition among korean netizens. Seventeen finally made their debut on May 26th, 2015 with their title song "아낀다".
2. Vernon Jerome Price is a singer, produced by Stevie B-Zet and A.C. Boutsen with a few singles and "Without Resolution: No Peace" album released in the early days of Eye-Q Records.
3. Vernon’s began his studies at the Robert Joffrey Ballet in New York City, and on the wings of a highly motivated spirit, moved into musical theatre. It was there that he began to find true happiness as he was able to attain much greater artistic expression.
Vernon has always enjoyed singing and sang a lot as a youngster, so for him it was no surprise when he found himself in a recording studio. Since that day his records have been produced by Philips, Fonit-Cetra International and Polydor-Polygram.
He performed on Broadway and London's West End stages in a number of major productions including "Show Boat", "Hair" and "Jesus Christ Superstar". Also he has given concerts in Milan, Italy at both the Lirico and Gerolamo theatres. His numerous television appearances have included shows broadcast by RAI and Canale 5 TV in Italy, and Montecarlo TV in Monaco.
Among his many achievements as a singer, mention has to be made of his guest appearance at Festival-Bar, which took place in the historic Arena of Verona in Italy before a capacity audience.
Vernon recorded the disco version of a famous Italian song called “Come Prima” which in English was named “You Forever” and became an instant hit in Europe. This was one of the most broadcast records of that time. This successful record was followed by a few singles including the disco version of “Natali” and by an LP titled “American Woman”. Many of the numbers on the LP received television and radio exposure and songs such as “Bony Bony”, “When a Child is Born” (Soleado) and Bob Marley’s “Guava Jelly” have remained quite popular with disc jockeys and many fans.
His repertory includes ballads and songs from composers such as Burt Bacharach, Umberto Bindi, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Paul Anka, Norman Newell, and Michel Legrand.
Vernon has made his considerable mark as an author too, and has had two important history books published: "Early History of the British Virgin Islands - from Columbus to Emancipation", (published first in 1983, followed by two new editions in 1997 and 2000) and the companion volume, "Concise History of the British Virgin Islands - from the Amerindians to 1986".
