Vinegar Joe
Vinegar Joe were a British R&B band in the early 1970s, who were best know for live shows. The core members were lead singers Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer, Elkie was known as the "Wild Woman of Rock", comparisons were made with Tina Turner and Janis Joplin. Bassist Steve York, keyboard player Tim Hinkley and guitarist Pete Gage who also played piano. Conrad Isidore played drums on their first album "Vinegar Joe". They released three albums on different record labels before the band dissolved at the end of 1973. Brooks and Palmer went on to have solo success. Read more on Last.fm.
