Vior gloire
Vior gloire was one of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's newest bands prior to their closing in 2013. Following in the footsteps of past members' band, GRiST, Vior Gloire were on the romantic and frilly side with some harder rock elements subtly thrown in, making them fairly different from all of the newer bands on that were signed to UCP. This style retained throughout their releases, with gradual incorporation of more piano and synthesizer arrangements into their music.
Originally Vior Gloire were added to the label's roster in 2011 without much detail in regards to who the official members were. They performed a few times before 'officially' forming as a prototype band that participated in special live events. For a few months, not much was known about this band with the exception of their existence and that they had fairly elaborate costumes when their blog URLs were leaked. The band's declared start date was May 21st, 2011. With that, a new image of the band was released showing a completely different (and arguably more tame) costume set, which lead to speculation that there was a change of concept and stylistic direction while they were still acting as a prototype. On March 17th, 2013, they performed as a special alter-ego, "Vior," wearing these fabled costumes. Their first single, インスパイア , was released in July of 2011.
After a fairly large amount of sparse activity following the release of their first single, the band released a song on the various artists CD "Next Innovators" entitled "Agitator" in the spring of 2012. Shortly after, a live distributed single entitled リリアス・ソフィーと憂鬱 was released. A few months later, it was announced that they would release their first full album, Gloomy and wakeful night would be released at the end of October in the same year. Due to the imminent closing of the UNDER CODE record label, it was speculated that the album would contain many re-releases and filler content in order to hastily push out a large release before its doors shut for good. Surprisingly, the album only contained 2 re-released tracks and more content than was originally intended.
On May 3rd, 2013, Vior Gloire "graduated" from UNDERCODE PRODUCTION and became self produced. This, however, was short lived due to three members announcing their leave of the band on June 6th of that same year.
Coinciding with the closing of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION, the band announced that they would not be continuing their activities. Additionally, guitarist Kei announced his retirement from music. Before disbandment, guitarists serra and Kei, as well as drummer ARU, had planned to secede from the band. Before this happened, the band released two CDs, Vior Gloire (types A and B) freely at concerts as their last release as a full band. After June 9th, 2013, Vior Gloire's only active members were シャル and RENA.
Vior Gloire official disbanded on July 11th, 2013. For this last concert, all of the band's former members returned to perform one last time.
After disbandment, some of the members moved on to new projects. Bassist RENA performed in a few sessions with 朱's vocalist 樹. Drummer ARU released a solo single entitled "PROMISE...". This CD featured Vior Gloire members and Nega's guitarist SAN. Currently, ARU is acting as a support member for Purple Stone.
