Waffles
There are (at least) two artists called Waffles
[1] Waffles is a four-piece Japanese indie pop band formed in 2001 by college classmates 与那覇文子 (Fumiko Yonaha) on guitar/synthesizer, 大野恭子 (Kyoko Ono) on vocals/keyboards, and 武田真一 (Shinichi Taketa) on bass. Since then they've played live shows with notable bands such as advantage Lucy, 堂島孝平 (Kohei Dojima), キャプテンストライダム (Captain Strydum), ROUND TABLE, and others. In October 2008 they began their new Kyoto-Osaka tour "Bitter Sweets Symphony".
[2] Waffles is an electronic music project utilizing ambient atmospherics, psychedelic influences, and experimental tendencies to create captivating instrumental tracks. The first major release bearing the 'Waffles' name and sound was 'The Waffles EP,' which was released in 2011. The second and most recent project from 'Waffles' is 'SURRP(c).'
