Yum!Yum!Orange
Yum!Yum!ORANGE first began in 1999 as a seven-member group (with a saxophone player and a different vocalist). As a self-proclaimed "girl pop meets ska" band, Yum!Yum!ORANGE stepped into and redefined musical territory that had been first breached by the likes of the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.
In 2000, the band released two demo tapes and played at small-scale lives, while slowly but surely gaining a positive reputation. In the following years Yum!Yum!ORANGE would work with bands such as B-Dash, 175R, SHAKALABBITS, and Stance Punks in various compilations and events.
Their first single, titled "Letter", was released in June of 2002, and "ORANGE STREET 33", their first album, was put out the following October. Both did fairly well on music charts and in sales.
Since then, Yum!Yum!ORANGE has changed vocalists and dropped the saxophone, and have remained a six-member band for over a year. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
