Zablujena Generacija
Zablujena generacija is also known as The Stray Generation (for use outside of Slovenia)
Zablujena generacija is the leading punk’n’roll band in Slovenia for the past ten years. They started as most bands did: learned three chords and hoping that the girls in their neighbourhood would give them a second glance. But through many performances on stage, they have evolved into a stage attraction which anyone who has seen their show can confirm. These punks were born on stage and the stage is their home. The interaction with the crowd comes naturally to them and with pure kerosene flowing through their veins, they can ignite anyone willing to listen to them, accept them and go wild with them. And they aren’t few.
Six recorded studio albums, tells six different stories of what they did and their states of mind. One thing never changed. They were and still are: spontaneous, energy bursting young men who learned their philosophy from the legendary Ramones. And that is – no philosophy.
The first three albums Fajht (colloquial meaning of Inebriation), Pank zabloda (Punk Aberration) and Ultra lahko (Ultra Light) cover the period when they have been to all the major concert venues in Slovenia as well as the tour in Netherlands and Germany.
The latest two albums, entitled Pozitiv vabrejšan (colloquial meaning of Positive Vibrations) and Pop idoli (Pop Idols) they have proven to be prepared for something more. With the album Pozitiv vabrejšan they have succeeded in achieving something that no one in Slovenia has after the band Pankrti. They brought punk rock vibrations to a wide spectre of audience and still maintained their integrity and a sound mind.
The new era started in the winter of 2006/2007, when they have – for their own amusement – applied for the eurosong contest named EMA 07 in Slovenia. They have offered an alternative and a solution on how to get rid of the mass of the instant pop song. They have ended in the excellent fourth place and thus got the confirmation that they have managed to convince the young and not so young audience.
Kdo hoče plesati z menoj? (Who wanna dance with me?), a hot single written in the manner of the Ramones, is at this moment gaining new fans. The song and the video themselves, represented an introduction to the sixth album, which was released 30/1/08. What story is behind the last album? Listen to it and try to find out.
