Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer
Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer is a powerpop/synth rock band that formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States in 2000. The band's lineup revolves around founding members Rachel Minton (vocals, keyboards) and Vince Ratti (guitar).
Their music is typically identified with the power pop, and to a lesser extent, twee pop genres and is heavily structured and influenced by pop music. The members of the band have referred to their music as "spunk rock".
They were recently featured on MTV2's Dew Circuit Breakout Challenge. Unfortunately they lost (Halifax, was the winner) but the contest gave them a large amount of media attention. Their most recent album is called Schematics and was released in 2007. They were also featured on the Atom and his Package tribute compilation album Up End Atom in 2009 and The Smashing Pumpkins The Killer In You tribute covering Set the Ray to Jerry as an Itunes only bonus track.
