Шлюз
Shluz appeared on the Russian punk stage at 29th September 1999.
It was the day of their first concert in the Moscow club "Svalka"
and it was the official day of the group birth.
From this time Shluz began an active concert's activity. As first they
played as a warming-up group on the punk and SKA Punk concerts and in
three months Shluz began to make solo concerts in the popular Moscow,
Saint-Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Bryansk and so on.
At first Zhluz played punk music, but in some fisrt songs you can find the influence
SKA and SKA Punk music. Soon guys invited brass band to the group. From this
moment Shluz played SKA Punk music, which is very close to their hearts till now.
In 2000 Shluz recorded first album "Gady" ("Skunks") on the Sound Age Records. In surprise
this album has a great success in Russia, Moldavia, and Ukraine that's why next
year it was republished with the help of well-known Russian record label "FeeLee".
In album of 14 songs, 10 of them were used in the Russian Punk collection CDs
such as "SKA-PUNK invasion 1" and "SKA-PUNK invasion 2" - Russian albums dedicated to
Russian SKA and SKA-PUNK music; "SKA Generation"; "Neon"; "The zone of bombardment".
From 2000, the band has not only regulary perfomed in Moscow clubs but has actively participated
in different music actions. They have appeared at Moscow, regional and national music festival.
Shluz's music is played on one of the country's most popular national music radio stations, Nashe Radio
101.7FM, Moscow Echo 91.2FM.
Last year Shluz made a contract with BPR Records and as a result of this collaboration was new album
"Poisya, Pesnya!" ("Sing, Song"). This album was acknowledged as the best SKA Punk album on the Russian
stage according to the independent interrogation thtough listener of radio "Arsenal".
From the very beginning of the existence every member of the group propagandizes antifascists views.
We ara against any display of aggressive and inequality.
