A Sense of Belonging
A Sense Of Belonging (usually shortened to the acronym and/or word ASOB) is a (round about) Pop-Punk/Melodic-Post-Hardcore quintet from South Jersey, Williamstown to be precise. They've been playing the South Jersey/Philly area for years now with their own brand and style, being known by everyone that attends a local show, and other wise opening for most of the bigger bands that come through Philadelphia. They've played with the likes of some of the biggest bands you know most likely, and have such a strong fan base in their area, that they've been known to be on the bill with hardcore bands, and still welcomed by the fans. The way they stick to their hometown, and vice versa is unbreakable, because if you know ASOB, you know they should've been labeled major and been tearing it up in the big league atleast a couple of years ago. As a matter of fact, you probably do have to know them personally and/or attend a show in their area to obtain any of their many recordings. You can, however, find somewhere around half of their early recordings on Limewire, since they are so widely known despite their refusal to leave their roots. Their entire story, and entire collection of recordings, photos, and records of shows they've played are embedded deep in the minds of their biggest South Jersey fans. However we do know of their latest release, "Memories, Big Dreams, And Everything", off of which you can listen to three of the singles at their myspace page. For anything you can't find in their growing Last.fm, Purevolume or Myspace libraries, don't be afraid to contact a fan or the band personally @ http://www.asenseofbelongingrock.com or @ myspace.com/asenseofbelonging.
