Also Eden
Also Eden are a rock band who take their inspiration from a wide variety of artists, including many that have been categorised over the years as "progressive" - Genesis, Yes, Marillion, IQ, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, The Flower Kings and so on - along with other influences as diverse as Ultravox, The Police and Cream. Focused always on strong songwriting, the band constantly evolves its sound, and the luxury of its own studio enables the organic development of albums such as the "hugely ambitious" (Geoff Barton, Classic Rock) and widely acclaimed 2011 release on F2 Records, Think Of The Children!.
Fronted by Rich Harding, whose dynamic vocal delivery is often likened to that of Fish in his heyday, powerful stories are woven atop a layered, melodic sound, created by the symbiosis of Simon Rogers' intricate guitar work and Ian Hodson's imaginative keyboards. Each of these also shine when it's time for a killer solo, and the whole is underpinned by the rock solid yet inventive rhythm section of Steve Dunn and Lee Nicholas.
With a growing reputation both in the studio and on stage, Also Eden "step close towards the brilliance of their influences without compromising originality or identity" (Classic Rock Presents Prog, live review) and are certainly ones to watch.
