Tinyfish
Tinyfish is a four piece band based in South London with a deep and abiding interest in all forms of progressive music.
All too aware of the size of the group’s public profile in a genre that is home to some of the biggest names in rock, the band jokingly dubbed themselves Tinyfish and the name quickly stuck.
The band released their eponymous debut album in December of 2006 followed by a mini album of rare tracks recorded and produced by Jem Godfrey of Frost* (brother to Tinyfish frontman Simon Godfrey) in 2009. In the same year, the band released their first live album and DVD One Night On Fire recorded and filmed at a sell out show in Katowice, Poland. September 2010 sees the release of their long awaited follow up album, The Big Red Spark which was three years in the making and features a host of guest artists such as Mike Varty (Credo, Shadowland, Janison's Edge), Jem Godfrey (Frost*) and the award winning writer and comedian Iain Houston.
Tinyfish are proud to be part of a scene that boasts such musical heroes as King Crimson, Genesis, Spock’s Beard, Marillion, Yes, etc but are content to remain a group of friends who exist simply for the love of making progressive music.
