Care
There are two different artists named Care.
1: Care was an alternative pop duo formed by Paul Simpson and Ian Broudie in 1983 in Liverpool, England.
The band released a string of singles in the '80s under Broudie's production-moniker Kingbird (via Arista) but broke up without releasing an album. Their often lavishly arranged songs, which include "Whatever Possessed You", "Flaming Sword", "My Boyish Days", and "Chandeliers", were eventually compiled and released posthumously as the album, "Diamonds and Emeralds".
Paul Simpson was previously the vocalist of another classic English band, The Wild Swans as well as Skyray. He has since resurrected The Wild Swans for a 2010 album release as well as the comeback singles, 'Liquid Mercury' and 'English Electric Lightning'.
Ian Broudie became commercially successful after forming The Lightning Seeds in the late '80s and scoring several hits such as 'The Life Of Riley', 'Pure' and 'Lucky You' before reverting to production work with The Zutons and The Coral. He also co-wrote the England football terrace favourite 'Three Lions'.
Broudie released his first solo album, "Tales Told", in 2004.
2: CARE is a lo-fi pop band hailing from Grand Rapids, MI. Their album Yellow Trumpet Comforter Swan can be found at http://care.bandcamp.com/ Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
