The story so far...
After returning from Japan in 1990 I met Tim Simenon. He had previously heard the tracks I had recorded for Major Force - "Tribe of Love" & "Touch Me Take Me" and wanted me to work on the next Bomb The Bass album. In 1991 we wrote Winter in July, which subsequently became a classic dance record and a major hit all over Europe. This was one of the first songs I had written, someone then mentioned I should do an album.....
Following the success of B.T.B. I worked with various talented writers and producers including Guy Sigsworth, Adamski and David Arnold to name just a few.
In 2000 after a break from music and London I returned with a whole new perspective, style of music and a new voice, turning to acoustic sounds and new beats. This involved writing and recording with members of Bugz in the Attic, Wai Wan and Victor Davies
Prior to making this album the songs I had chosen to record with all stood well on their own but what was lacking was a coherent thread joining them. The ingredients were all there but it took the boy across the road, Andy Mitchell, (from protoangel) to mix and bind them into the perfect chocolate musical cake.
Andy embellished the original songs with his own vision and production skills to create a romantic, acoustic sound with a contemporary twist which includes elements of jazz, folk and dance. All of this was done in Ladbroke Grove at my house or across the road at Andy's during a period stretching over a year .
