Svala began singing publicly at the age of seven when she appeared on her father's Christmas album. At the age of nine, she dueted with him on another of her father's albums. During the mid-90s, Svala joined Scope, an Icelandic electronica band that released an album with its only hit, "Was That All It Was?"
In 2001, she signed with Priority Records and released an album titled The Real Me and her single, 'The Real Me', which became a minor success in the United States. Her 2005 album, Bird of Freedom, was released independantly. She joined Steed Lord a year later. Read more on Last.fm.
