Testamentum Terrae
TESTAMENTUM TERRAE (Land’s Testament in Latin) is a Belarusian band of mediaeval music, formed in 2003, its initial name was TESTAMENT, its creator and leader is Juraś Pankievič. The band participates in festivals of mediaeval culture (Lida’s Castle, Rusborg, Rubezh, God Almighty, Gruenwald, Old Lviv), festivals of mediaeval music and musical contests (Autumn Legends, contest of mediaeval music performers in honour of Queen Bona Sforza), as well as organizes its own dance parties. The TESTAMENTUM TERRAE band uses copies of instruments of the 15th–18th centuries, such as Belarusan bagpipes, lutes, šałmiejs and žalejkas (types of hornpipes), violins, timbrels, drums, etc.
