The Memphis Sounds seem to be a one-release band name, conceived specially for the release of the album Ike's Moods, a tribute to Isaac Hayes.
Consisting of members from El Michels Affair, the Dap Kings, and Antibalas, these instrumentalists have been a part of a movement of neo-wave funk and soul musicians.
